Well ever since my English 10 class last year I have really been interested in poetry and plays as well! For one English class I remember that we had to do a scene from Julius Caesar. My friends and I did act three scene three... It was so cool! we got the highest mark in the class too! We spent so much time on that darn play! We either had to make a video or do it in front of the class so we did the video! I was stressed out about that! I couldn't remember my last lines! So I threw my plastic sword and I'd start swearing! Thank goodness they cut that out of the tape! I wanted to do some more plays that year! But we didn't! Oh well this year for grade 11 English we get to do McBeth! HHhhhhmmm that should be fun! Oh and besides that I had the best English teacher last year! She was so cool! Always there to give a helping hand! (thanks) Well I have lots of things about William Shakespeare! I know some people don't like his work and think its very boring but I don't! I think its actually interesting!

The Old Man... There was an old man who lived near a common, And if fame speaks true, he was born of a women. Perhaps you will laugh, but for truth I've been told he once was an infant though age made him old. Whenever he was hungry he longed for some meat and if he could get it it was said he would eat. When thirsty he'd drink if you gave him a pot, ans what he drank mostly went down his throat. He seldom or never could see without light and yet I've been told he could hear in the night. He lived.... how many years I truly can't decide But this one fact appears he lived till he died "He died" I have averred But cannot prove it was so, but that he was interred at any rate I know. I can't recall his name or what he used to do and that is why I thus about this unknown man... Then I create a fuss, to rescue if I can. From dark oblivions blow some record of his lot... But, AH!!! I do not know. Who, where, when, why or what. In this brief poem a moral we should find... But what it ought to be has quite escaped my mind.

Cinna the Poet | I dreamt to-night that I did feast with Caesar, and things unluckly charge my fantisy I have no will to wonder forth of doors yet something leads me forth! (enters Citizens) First Citizen: "what is your name?" Second Citizen: "Whither are you going?" Third Citizen: "where do you dwell?" Fourth Citizen: "are you a married man or a bacholer?" Second Citizen: "answer every man directly!" First Citizen: "ay, and briefly!" Fourth Citizen: "ay, and wisely!" Third Citizen: "ay and truly, you were best!" Cinna the Poet: " what is my name? Whither am I going? Where do I dwell? Am I a married man or a bachelor? then to answer everyman directly and breifly wisely and truly I say, I'am a bachelor" Second Citizen: "Thats as much to say, they are fools that marry, you'll bear me a bang for taht I fear, proceed directly?" Cinna the Poet: "directly I am going to Caesar's funeral." First Citizen: "as a freind or an enemy?" Cinna the Poet: "as a friend" Second Citizen: "that matter is answered directly." Fourth Citizen: "for you dwelling.... briely?" Cinna the Poet: "briefly I dwell by the capitol" Third Citizen: "your name, sir, truly?" Cinna the Poet: "truly, my name is cinna" First Citizen: "tear him to pieces, he is a conspirator. Cinna the Poet: "I'm Cinna the Poet, I'm Cinna the Poet" Fourth Citizen: "tear him for his bad verses, tear him for his bad verses!" Cinna the Poet: "I'm not Cinna the conspirator!" Fourth Citizen: "It is no matter, his name's Cinna, pluck but his name out of his heart, and turn him going!" Third Citizen: "tear him, tear him! Come brands ho! Fire-brands, to Cassius' burn all! Some to Decius' house and some to Casca's, some to Ligarius' away go!"
